Refining

Refining is a process that uses chemicals, refines and hearts to upgrade your armours and weapons.

• For equipment and shields, this process will increase dodge, defense and magic resistance.
• For weapons, it will increase the Attack Power and Hit Rate.
• Refining also enhances the durability and glow of an item.
• You can refine at the NPCs located in Junon [Weapon Merchant] Crune, Luna [Smith] Pavrick and Eldeon [Smith] Nel Eldora or by using an Artisan .
• The refining success rate will depend on the quality of the chemical,  the higher the quality you will use, the higher the success rate.
• Failing a refinement may downgrade your item.
• You can buy Venurune and Plutorune in the Item Mall to increase the success rate and to prevent downgrades during refinement.

1 to 9

The materials needed for the refinement depends on what you will refine and if the item has already been refined .

10 to 15

Refining to 10 or higher will add Prestige stats on your item. These are special abilities that make you stronger in PvP. You can choose your prestige stat by putting a Prestige Rune in the refining window. Without a rune your item will be assigned a stat randomly.
